To quote Mark Twain, "LOVE: The irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired," is the basic human need - to be wanted, to be cared for, to be desired. Yet, this is all a bit different from being worth it - worth the want, worth the care, worth the love and worth the desire. It's being worth fighting for. Who will actually fight for you? Who is willing to lose their pride for YOU? Who is willing to let go of their insecurities and defenses? Who is willing to stand up to everyone? Who is willing to protect you? Who will risk getting hurt/wounded with the possibility of losing the conquest?
And maybe "It's 2008. no1 fights for any1."
, but, to quote, Erica Jong, “[Do you want me to tell you something really subversive?] Love is everything it's cracked up to be. That's why people are so cynical about it. It really is worth fighting for, being brave for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don't risk anything, you risk even more.”
I've always been a realist, so I don't want a fairy tale, just a content and happy life.
