Unconditional Love

Back to the subject? Well, not really…unconditional love, I think, can only be provided from parent to child and if the parent is lucky it is reciprocated. Countless arguments, tons of shouting matches, purposely getting on each other’s nerves and yet, our parents love us despite all of our faults, coming late at night or early in the morning, our relationship choices, career goals, in short, all of our imperfections.

Why are we then, so quick to yell? To shout? And to complain? Maybe it comes with the territory, it’s all part of growing up. Maybe most of us don’t realize these things until we have kids of our own.

More thoughts to come...

  1. Ahh Uncondional Love a subject much easier then the actual big "L". It's actually very simple, you are absolutely right that it has to do with age. When we are young especially in teenage years we think we know EVERYTHING and we especially think that our parents don't know ANYTHING because they are old or because they just DON'T get it. As we get older we start to realize that we were the ones who DIDN'T get it.

As for our parents unconditional love towards us is a thing of nature it's a bond that you share since childbirth and even if you are a drugie, a criminal, or just a plain bastard child your parents will love you regardless.

    cheers
